Programme for St. George’s Day Celebration Concert

On Saturday 18th April we performed at St. Martin of Tours Church in Wolverhampton. Our programme included the following music.

Highland Cathedral (A popular tune for Scottish bagpipes)

The Wonder of You (as sung by Elvis & on football terraces)
Unchained Melody (as sung by Jimmy Young & The Righteous Brothers)

The Dam Busters March (God is our strength & refuge)
Let there be Peace on Earth (by Sy Miller and Jill Jackson)

Finally, we finished with some patriotic songs from the Last Night of the Proms.

St. George’s Day Celebration Concert with Black Country Brass

Black Country Brass BandWe invite you to a concert of traditional & patriotic music to celebrate St. George’s Day (actually April 23rd.) WOMVC will be performing along with Black Country Brass on Saturday 18th April starting at 7.30pm & should end c. 9.45pm. There will be an interval & a prize raffle.
