Concert at St. Chad’s Coseley

Our concert at St. Chad’s Coseley on 31st August went well, with a good audience and raised about £300 towards church funds.
Joining us was a talented young solo pianist, Adam Massey, who performed a number of pieces on piano.

On Sunday 21st July 2013 we organised a big concert at The Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton. The concert started at 4pm & was finished by 7pm.

70th celebration cakeThe concert united three of the best male voice choirs in the area. The inspiring sound of around 100 men singing both traditional & patriotic songs together in harmony. WOMVC performed along with Newport (Salop) & District Male Voice Choir & Warley Male Voice Choir. This extravaganza was to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of all three choirs.

Joining us on stage were Jackfield ‘Elcock Reisen’ Brass Band from Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire. This 30-strong band includes Cornets, Horns, Trombones, Euphoniums, Baritones, Basses & Percussion sections. They have qualified to represent the Midlands 4 times in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. In 2010 they took 1st place in 3 First Section Championships; Leicester, Pontins & Butlins.

Adult tickets were £15 or £16, Children (U16) £10, Family (min. 1 adult) £40.

3) Nice ‘n’ Easy, a Perry Como Medley incorporating ‘Magic Moments’ by Bacharach & David, ‘And I Love you so’ by Don McLean, ‘Catch a falling star’ by Pockriss & Vance, ‘Try to Remember’ by Jones & Schmidt, arranged by Alan Simmons.

WOMVC sang in Wolverhampton’s Mander Centre at Christmas

We had the pleasure of singing in Wolverhampton’s Mander Shopping Centre on Saturday 15th December 2012 for Christmas. We performed 3 sections of Christmas themed music.

We collected £245 for the Midlands Air Ambulance & an article appeared in the Express & Star newspaper.
